Spluttering Back to Life

As you’ve noticed, there hasn’t been any updates for a while.

This is because I’m trying to move this bastard of a blog onto a private server, therefore opening up the very big option of monetizing this thing. Part of that plan would be to, yanno, give it a non-generic layout, have a blog mascot, etc. All that requires HTML and CSS to implement, with the slight possibility of needing to know some PHP and MySQL while I’m at it. All very good things to put onto that journalism resume, yeah?

There’s just one small catch: I DON’T KNOW SHITE ABOUT HTML4.01/XHTML OR CSS!

So, uh, until I get the code figured out, we’ll be resuming updates on this wordpress-hosted version.

There will be a schedule change – the blog will now update twice-weekly, on Fridays and Mondays. This is because all the days in between are hellish for me, given my duties as La Voz Weekly’s first-ever Technology Editor this quarter, and two weeks in, I can guarantee you I won’t be able to spare the brain cells for daily weekday blogging.

And you can go to hell if you think I’m giving my weekends up for you, eh? :D Fair’s fair – I ain’t taking your weekends either.
